What is Venturing Kodiak Leadership Training?

A once in a lifetime, leadership training experience!

The San Francisco Bay Area Council offers a high-level, high-energy youth leadership training: known as Venturing Leadership Treks. This Web page describes this Program.

The Kodiak Course is a high adventure trek based course, tailored to the Venturing program and includes: the skills found in the Venture Leadership Skills Course (VLSC), the Five Leadership Commissions in the Venturing Kodiak Leadership Course along with other select leadership skills. Course participants will spend the week backpacking the rugged & spectacular California Lost Coast Trail, stopping along the way at sites selected to provide an opportunity to both learn and apply leadership skills.

Venturing Kodiak treks are offered to ALL Venturers, Sea Scouts, older Boy Scouts and others who meet age and course requirements. Course size is limited and priority will be given to Venturers based on order of registration, and age, and registration in Venturing or Sea Scout units.

Venturers should register on-line, but the Course Approval Form must also be submitted to the council. If you can not register on-line, please contact the Trek Advisor.
