What is Venturing Kodiak Leadership Training?

A once in a lifetime, leadership training experience!

The San Francisco Bay Area Council offers a high-level, high-energy youth leadership training: known as Venturing Leadership Training. This Web page describes this Training Program.

Venturing Kodiak Leadership Course is run separately but held concurrently with Brownsea-NYLT, the Boy Scout Youth Leadership Training Course. The Kodiak Course is tailored to the Venturing program and includes: the skills found in the Venture Leadership Skills Course (VLSC), the Five Leadership commissions in the newly released National Venturing Kodiak Leadership Course along with other select leadership skills. Course participants can expect to be backpacking for part of the course.Plans are underway again to spend most of the week backpacking the rugged & isolated California Lost Coast Trail, stopping along the way at sites selected to provide an opportunity to both learn and apply leadership skills. High adventure activities available at Camp Wente will also be used during the course.

The Venturing Leadership Training is offered to ALL Venturers. Course size is limited and priority will be given to Venturers solely registered in a Venturing Crew, and by age.
