Venturing Kodiak Leadership Training Orientation

On Thursday, May 15th, there is a required Orientation for all Venture Participants and their parents. Crew Advisors are invited to attend as well. Participants will be contacted as to the exact time and location.

Due to the High-Adventure, Backpacking nature of the course - each Course participant is required to have a current Class 3 Medical as well as the Class 1-2  permissions for treatment, shooting sports and photography, and a completed Medication form for each Medicine that he/she is currently using.

Other information on the Orientation or the Kodiak Course may be posted here up to the date of the course. Check back every week or two after May 1 for any updates.

Kodiak Leadership Treks are is sponsored by the San Francisco Bay Area Council, Boy Scouts of America, starting on the Saturday before the 3rd Sunday of June each year. The course is open to all youth ages 14-20 years old, regardless of membership in Scouting. Venturing, Sea Scouts and older Boy Scouts., Both individuals and crews or ships are welcome and out of Council participants are encouraged to participate.

The treks and training are targeted for youth participants. However, on a space availability basis, we are considering the possibility of having adults participate in the treks as well - particularly those who are interested in running their own course in the future. Please contact the course director if you are an adult who is interested.
